At IBT, we believe quality training and technical education are essential to solving real-world industrial challenges. Throughout the year, we host a wide range of internal and public training programs designed to develop knowledgeable problem solvers — not just product distributors. From our rigorous IBT Academy to industry-leading partner schools and open-enrollment in-person technical courses, our training programs equip sales teams, technicians, and customers with the skills they need to succeed.
Training Problem Solvers
Our sales team undergoes rigorous internal training to develop a deep technical understanding and practical expertise. Through IBT Academy Weeks, New Employee Orientation, and Grain Academy, our team is immersed in hands-on learning that prepares them to support customers with confidence. In addition, our salesmen attend industry-leading programs such as SKF School and Dodge School, ensuring they stay current on best practices, products, and application knowledge.

Open Enrollment & Customer-Requested Trainings
Beyond training our own team, we place a strong emphasis on sharing knowledge with others. We regularly offer training opportunities open to customers, partners, and the public because we believe education strengthens the entire industry. Hydraulics 101 (H101) is an open-enrollment program that offers valuable certifications and practical skills to anyone looking to expand their technical capabilities.
We also continue to offer Bearing and Power Transmission Academy, Hydraulic 102, and Electrical Training 101 because we see long-term value in making high-quality education accessible.
Note: Electrical Training 101 is not part of our offerings for the first half of 2026. It remains part of our long-term training roadmap; this course will return once a new instructor is secured, with availability anticipated in the second half of 2026.
Customer Requested Trainings:
We also provide custom training tailored to specific applications, facilities, or operational challenges. These customized sessions allow IBT to deliver targeted instruction aligned with real-world needs, even when classes are not open to public enrollment. For example, in 2025, we conducted Alignment Training with JoCo.
Whether it’s developing our internal team or investing in others’ education, our commitment is the same: deliver quality training that creates better solutions, stronger partnerships, and more confident problem solvers. Training isn’t just something we do — it’s a reflection of how seriously we take our responsibility to our customers and our industry.
