IBT Industrial Solutions announced that Jeff Cloud will take over as the new Vice President of Marketing.

“Jeff will work closely with his team of marketing professionals to develop hard-hitting, competitive strategies designed to create profitable, sustained growth,” said Mike Flannery, the President and CEO at IBT. “I selected Jeff for this important role based on his knowledge of the business and skill sets, which will serve the company well as we work to expand IBT’s market and product presence.”

In his new role as Vice President of Marketing, Cloud will manage all business groups—plus all marketing communications, including:  strategic market planning, e-commerce strategy, supplier rationalization, and sales support.  He will also serve on IBT’s Executive Committee.

In addition to overseeing IBT’s product and service positioning programs, Cloud will also work closely with other leaders in the organization to develop and deploy short- and long-term strategic plans designed to enhance IBT’s unique value proposition.

“My goal is to enhance IBT’s ability to provide the highest possible level of products and services to our customer base,” Cloud said.  “I plan to develop a formal, yearly strategic marketing plan that helps guide both our product groups and our sales team to grow our business together with our trusted supplier partners.”

Cloud continues his family’s 67-year ownership of the company, which was founded by his grandfather, Forrest L. Cloud, in 1949.  “I’m proud of Jeff taking this opportunity to help IBT move toward a third generation of ownership by our family,” Stephen Cloud said.

While Cloud has always been involved in the family business, he started full-time work at IBT 10 years ago, working in both Inside Sales and Outside Sales.  Since 2011, he has served as a Regional Manager, supporting 6 branch locations—from Nebraska to west Texas.

“I’ve always worn a lot of hats at IBT,” Cloud said.  “But in this new role, I can now focus 100% of my energy on a single set of objectives.”

At home, Cloud enjoys spending time with his wife, Kayce, and 2 children, Owen and Alice.  He also enjoys golf, BBQ, fishing, and watching KU Jayhawks basketball.

“I feel lucky every day that IBT has such a loyal and dedicated employee base,” Cloud said.  “The total combined years of experience here is unbelievable, and I look forward to capitalizing on as much knowledge as possible across our dedicated team for the purpose of meeting and exceeding our customers’ requirements.”
