Our Company History
Since 1949, IBT Industrial Solutions has been driven by a spirit of innovation and a passion for serving customers. What began as a small “mom and pop” operation founded by Forrest L. Cloud and Bonnie Cloud has grown into one of the nation’s leading full-service industrial distributors.
From the beginning, Forrest and Bonnie recognized that success comes from listening to customers. They combined bearings and power transmission products under one roof—a first in the industry—and built a reputation for dependable service, knowledgeable people, and honest business practices.
Originally named Industrial Bearing and Transmission Co., IBT has grown far beyond its roots. Today, as IBT Industrial Solutions, our name reflects the broad range of products, services, and expertise we provide to keep industry moving.
IBT remains proudly family-owned, led by Jeff Cloud, third-generation President and CEO. Having worked his way up through nearly every role in the company, Jeff continues to lead with the same values his grandparents started with: integrity, hard work, and dedication to customer success.

In 2019, we proudly marked our 70th anniversary—a milestone that highlighted the strength of our people, our partnerships, and our commitment to doing things the right way.
