Slider Bed Belt Conveyors

These have the belt supported by a solid surface such as steel rather than sitting on rollers.

  • Ideal for smooth, low-friction product movement.
  • Best suited for lighter packages, boxes, and totes.
  • Minimizes product damage with a flat, low-profile surface.
  • Great for high-speed applications.

Roller Bed Belt Conveyors

These conveyor systems have the belt supported by rollers to reduce friction between the belt and the frame, which allows for heavier packages than the slider belt conveyor can handle.

  • Offers a combination of a smooth belt surface and supporting rollers.
  • Handles heavier packages and provides additional product stability.
  • Reduces friction for efficient product movement.
  • Well-suited for a wider range of package weights and dimensions.

Sortation Systems

These systems can sort packages to different lines and conveyors depending on their intended destination. It scans the package and diverts it in the correct direction.

  • Intelligent diverter mechanisms or powered rollers for precise package routing.
  • Efficiently sort packages to designated chutes or conveyor lines.
  • Saves time and labor costs by automating package sorting.
  • Ensures accurate order fulfillment.

Chain-Driven Live Roller Conveyors (CDLRs)

CDLRs transport pallets and other heavy loads. The bed consists of rollers that are driven by a chain to provide the required power to move pallets.

  • Continuously moving rollers powered by a synchronized chain beneath the conveyor.
  • Keeps packages and pallets constantly flowing, eliminating stop-and-start movement, which is important for efficiently moving heavy loads.
  • Ideal for high-volume applications with a steady flow of products.
  • Durable and reliable for demanding warehouse environments with a high load capacity.

Minimum Pressure Accumulation Conveyors

This conveyor system has a bed of rollers that are driven by a belt. The belt drive pressure can be manually adjusted, which causes the products to be lightly touched while being conveyed. The adjustment can bring the back pressure to two percent of the live load to reduce damage to packages.

  • Allows packages to accumulate with minimal back pressure to protect packages.
  • Maintains smooth product flow even during surges in production.
  • Reduces the risk of product damage from jamming or collisions.
  • Improves overall throughput and efficiency.
  • More cost-effective than a zero-pressure system.

Zero Pressure Accumulation Conveyors

These have a bed of rollers to move products along. They have sensors that hold packages in place to prevent collisions with other packages, which is important for fragile products.

  • Doesn’t allow products to touch each other while conveying, which is perfect for reducing damage to fragile items during accumulation.
  • Eliminates backpressure, preventing bottlenecks.
  • Perfect for applications requiring continuous product movement without any interruption.
  • Maximizes throughput for high-speed sorting and distribution operations.
  • Offers the most efficient method for accumulating packages.

Pallet Conveyors

Pallet Conveyors are a wider term for any conveyor that moves large, heavy, or unwieldy loads, such as pallets. They move units by belt, slats, rollers, or chains.

  • Designed for the safe and efficient movement of palletized goods, they are usually built low to the ground for better control.
  • Heavy-duty construction for handling substantial weight and strain.
  • Powerful motors ensure smooth operation even with heavily loaded pallets.
  • Ideal for warehouses and distribution centers with frequent pallet handling.

Modular Belt Conveyors

These systems are designed to be highly versatile and capable of handling a wide range of products or packages. They can handle different package sizes and weights, and can be used on inclines or with multiple curves.

  • Highly versatile solution for a wide range of package sizes and weights.
  • Modular design allows for easy configuration and reconfiguration.
  • Adapts to changing needs and product flows within your facility.
  • Great for dynamic warehouse environments with diverse product handling requirements.

Gravity Conveyors

These are simple conveyors that use rollers or skatewheels to move packages using either gravity or a person pushing along the conveyor instead of utilizing a motor power source.

  • Cost-effective and energy-saving option for lighter packages.
  • Utilizes natural gravity to move products along an inclined surface.
  • Reduces energy consumption compared to powered conveyor systems.
  • Well-suited for low-maintenance and cost-conscious operations.

Conveyor Belts for Aggregate HandlingIBT also specializes in bulk handling solutions. Through long-term partnerships with valuable supply partners, we provide our customers with both knowledge and parts for screw conveyors, drag conveyors, and troughed conveyors, as well as bucket elevators, to grain and aggregate industry customers.

We can supply new bulk handling conveying systems, including design, installation, and electrical controls. Here are some of the major types of bulk-handling conveyor systems:

  • Screw Conveyors utilize a rotating helical screw to efficiently move material along a U-shaped trough.
  • Drag Conveyors use a moving chain or belt with attached scraper flights to pull material along a low-profile trough.
  • Bucket Elevators are the best option for transporting bulk materials vertically. They have a continuous looped chain or belt attached to buckets that scoop material from a lower hopper and elevate it to a discharge point.
  • Troughed Belt Conveyors have a trough with sides above the conveyor belt to keep loose or bulk materials in the center. They are excellent for transporting large volumes of loose or bulk materials.
