These new Loctite products are the only anaerobic threadlockers and thread sealants that can withstand the heat and stress of high temperature applications, up to 650°F (343°C).
2422 Medium Strength & 2620 High Strength High Temperature Threadlocker
These new threadlockers have been designed to withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 650°F – far exceeding traditional high temperature formulations that typically only withstand intermittent temperatures up to 450°F.
Ideally suited for high heat industrial applications, this is available in both a medium strength version – which can be disassembled with hand tools – and a high strength version, which requires being heated to above 650°F and then being disassembled while hot.
Typical applications/industries include: industrial ovens; boiler rooms; heat treat operations; refineries; pulp and paper; metal fabrication; and glass manufacturing.
5770 High Temperature Thread Sealant
This new thread sealant has been designed to withstand continuous exposure to temperatures up to 500°F.
It is ideally suited for applications in pressurized steam lines, boiler rooms and many other industrial applications that are exposed to high temperatures. Assemblies made with this product disassemble with standard hand tools.
2047 High Lubricity High Strength Threadlocker
Specifically designed for applications requiring high clamp loads and fasteners over 7/8″ in diameter. The lubricating properties allow you to achieve the desired clamp load. Standard threadlockers may start to cure and thicken up during the assembly of larger fasteners which creates friction and reduces the ultimate clamp load achieved at a pre-determined torque setting.
The high-strength property of Loctite 2047 threadlocker will ensure that clamp load is maintained even when exposed to shock, vibrations, and thermal cycling. As with all Loctite threadlockers, it also seals the assembly to prevent corrosion and ensure predictable disassembly with heat and hand tools.
2423 Low Odor Medium Strength Threadlocker
This product is designed for situations/applications where odor may be an issue – such as extended use in confined spaces.
Loctite 2423 is a general purpose, medium strength thread locker that is well suited for fasteners between ¼” and 3/4″. Parts can be easily disassembled using standard hand tools.
5451 Low Odor Thread Sealant
Designed for fine threaded fittings commonly found in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, this new thread sealant is less odorous, making it particularly well-suited for situations where it is applied in sensitive work areas or in confined spaces.
Loctite 5451 contains no fillers or particles which could contaminate system fluids, foul valves or clog fine filters and screens. This threadlocker is suitable for fittings up to 2″ in diameter.
